McKinney Gundogs is accepting waitlist applications for our Spring 2027 litter out of Swift Iris — a pedigree dense with Field Trial Champions, IGL Retriever Championship blood close up. Bred for dogs that are quiet in the home and all drive in the field.
Iris is the heart of our breeding program. She carries generations of Britain's finest working blood — bred not for the show ring, but for the field.
She is sired by Ir FTCh Trefaldwyn Kribensis of Shadowbrae, bringing proven Irish and UK field trial credentials. Her maternal grandsire, FTCh Tamrose Aragon, placed 3rd in the International Gundog League Retriever Championship — the highest level of the sport.
Behind her run the Waterford, Riversway, and Endacott lines that anchor Britain's most successful trial and picking-up kennels. A genuine British working temperament by design: quiet in the home, all drive and natural game-finding in the field.
