We're taking waitlist applications for a Spring 2027 litter out of McKinney Gundogs Swift Iris — a pedigree dense with Field Trial Champions and IGL Retriever Championship blood close up. A small number of pups, placed by fit, with a training pathway waiting for them.
The dam
MG Swift Iris
Iris is a British working Labrador from field-trial lineage — sired by Ir FTCh Trefaldwyn Kribensis of Shadowbrae, with FTCh Tamrose Aragon (IGL Retriever Championship 3rd) as her maternal grandsire. Behind her sit the Waterford, Riversway, Endacott and Tamrose foundation lines.
She is what we want the litter to be: biddable and easy in the house, and completely switched on the second there's work to do. That temperament is the point of the whole program — a dog you can live with all year and hunt hard for a few months.
The litter sire is still to be announced. He'll be selected from proven UK field-trial lines to complement Iris, and every applicant on the list will get his full pedigree and clearances before deposits are asked to convert.

More than a puppy from a pedigree
Professional backing
Bred by a working gundog trainer with over a decade of professional experience, not a hobby breeder. I know what these dogs need because I train them for a living.
Training pathway
A place in the 3-Phase program when your pup is ready — obedience through finished gundog, with the breeder who raised him.
Health tested
OFA-certified parents. Hips, elbows and eyes cleared, plus EIC, CNM and PRA testing. Documentation travels with the pup.
Family ready
Raised in our home with early socialisation and crate introduction, so the transition to your house is boring in the best way.
Direct access
You get my phone number, not a customer service inbox. Questions at week eight or year eight get answered the same way.

Per puppy, balance due at pickup. Affirm and Klarna financing are available at checkout if you'd rather spread it out.

Holds your place in line. Non-refundable if you withdraw — but if Iris doesn't produce a Spring 2027 litter, it transfers in full to the next one or comes back to you.
26 months
Covers hereditary hip and elbow dysplasia and degenerative eye disease, backed by clearances on both parents.
Program guarantee: if your pup enrolls in the 3-Phase program and doesn't reach the phase benchmarks, we replace the dog. That's a commitment I can only make because I bred him and I train him.

Obedience is a flat $1,500 and takes about three weeks for most dogs — and if yours needs an extra week, I don't charge for it.
